He married Agnese Arena who gave him five children: Erminia, Achille, Lucia,  Virginia, Alfredo.
Angelina's niece, daughter of her brother Cesare, married the painter Raffaele Tafuri.
He is buried at the Poggioreale (Napoli) in the Art Professors burial ground
